Narendra Modi is the first Indian prime minister to visit Kuwait in 43 years. Marking this historical visit, the Indian leader was accorded with the ceremonial Guard of Honor in Kuwait.
Ahead of the award, Modi was recieved a ceremonial guard of honour. With the 'The Order of Mubarak the Great', Prime Minister Modi has now received around 20 international honours since the start of his tenure as PM in 2014.

Modi also mentioned the Indian diaspora in Kuwait and stated that the community acts as a living bridge between the two countries.
Modi Attends Opening Ceremony Of Arabian Gulf CupPM Modi also attended the opening ceremony of the 26th Arabian Gulf Cup as the chief guest at the Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium here. The prime minister accompanied the Emir of Kuwait, Crown Prince and his Kuwaiti counterpart for the opening ceremony.
The biennial Arabian Gulf Cup is being hosted by Kuwait with participation from eight countries, including GCC nations, Iraq, and Yemen.
